Kelly Shannon, OD

Dr. Kelly Shannon joined All Family Vision Care in September of 2016. Dr. Shannon graduated from Oregon State University in 2012 and attended the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his optometric training at UIW-RSO in the spring of 2016.

During his time at UIW-RSO, Dr. Shannon had the opportunity to go on rotations to a couple different clinics around the state of Texas. One of the clinics was a private practice in the Houston area, where Dr. Shannon gained specialized training in the areas of infant and pediatric care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. The second clinic was in the Amarillo Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Amarillo. At this location, he gained specialized training in geriatric patient care, ocular disease, and pre and post-op cataract and retinal care. Dr. Shannon is a member of the American Optometric Association and enjoys caring for patients of all ages, especially the pediatric population.

Dr. Shannon was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He fell in love with the world of optometry when he was introduced to the profession as a high schooler by his optometrist. Dr. Shannon started his undergraduate schooling, and path towards becoming an optometrist, in Texas where he played baseball as well. After two years of being in Texas, he decided to transfer to Oregon State to finish his undergraduate degree in Biology. It was during his time at Oregon State when Dr. Shannon fell in love with Corvallis and decided that it was the place he wanted to live once he was done with school. He is thrilled to be back in Corvallis, and to have the privilege to serve its community for All Family Vision Care.

When Dr. Shannon isn’t in the clinic, he loves spending time with friends and family. He is also an avid fishermen who enjoys chasing steelhead and salmon in the rivers and streams up and down the Oregon Coast.
